Respect Starts with Me

Respect means treating others the way you want to be treated. It shows that you care about people’s feelings, time, and things. When you respect others, they will respect you too.

But guess what? Respect starts with YOU!

Respect at Home

  • Listen to your parents and guardians.
  • Do what you’re asked to do without complaining.
  • Say “please” and “thank you.”
  • Take care of your home and help with chores.

 Respect at School

  • Listen to your teachers and classmates.
  • Raise your hand before speaking.
  • Keep the classroom clean and neat.
  • Follow school rules.

 Respect for Others

  • Be kind to everyone, even those who are different from you.
  • Don’t shout or call names.
  • Share and take turns.
  • Say sorry when you hurt someone.

4. Respect for Yourself

  • Do your best in everything you do.
  • Keep your body clean and healthy.
  • Make good choices.
  • Believe in yourself!

Respect is not just what we say. It is what we do.
When you choose to show respect, you help make your home, school, and community a better place. Respect starts with me… and YOU!
